I’ve been working with Intellectual Property since 2001 when I joined the Intellectual Property Office as Technical information Specialist.

I led Public Awareness and Education, Patent information Systems  and the provision of Patent Information Services. While there I served as Secretary of the National Intellectual Property Policy Committee that drafted the first National IP Policy.

The University of London awarded me a Postgraduate Certificate in IP Law. I’m a WIPO certified Trainer at the National Intellectual Property Training Centre of Trinidad and Tobago. I’ve completed a number of WIPO Distance Learning Courses over the years including Copyright and Related Rights, Intellectual Property Management, Arbitration and Mediation under the WIPO rules and Patent Searching and Patent Drafting.

I’m certified by the Mediation Board of Trinidad and Tobago as a Mediator (Civil, Non-Family) and was appointed by WIPO to sit on its panel of neutrals in 2017.

I served as Media Licensing and Licensing Manager responsible for licensing revenue and enforcement, Company Secretary, CEO and Director at Music and Reprographic rights CMOs.

In 2012 I formed my own firm specialising in IP Management and IP protection.

I also read for a BSc Agriculture at UWI and hold an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration.

I was elected a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2001 and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute in 2022.
